Psalm 5
A psalm of David.
1. Give ear to my words, O LORD,
consider my sighing.
2. Listen to my cry for help,
my King and my God,
for to you I pray.
3. In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait in expectation.

2 Thessalonian's 3
1. Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course,
and be glorified, even as it is with you:
HOW TO KNOW GOD
1. Realize that you are a sinner:
Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." None of us, no matter how good we are or how good of a life we lead are without sin.
Only Jesus Christ was sinless.
2. Realize that Jesus Christ died for your sins. Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates His own love towards us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us." God, realizing that we could not pay the penalty for our own sins, sent His Son to take our sins and to die in our place on the cross.
3. Repent of your sins and accept God's love and forgiveness Acts 3:19 "Repent therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord." To repent means to turn from your sins and go the other way
4. Receive Jesus Christ as your Savior Romans 10:9-10 "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation." To receive Jesus as Savior you simply have to ask Him into your heart with a simple prayer.
Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe you died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I confess you as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you for saving me. Amen."
